How We Build This Directory

How listings are sourced, written, reviewed and ranked at FindAIforWork, and how paid placement works.

This page explains where our listings come from, how their descriptions are written, and what money does and does not change. It applies to every listing on the site.

Where listings come from

The directory is built from two sources:

  • Submitted listings. A maker submits their own product through the submission form. The submission is reviewed by an editor before it is published, and the maker owns the listing afterwards.
  • Independently compiled listings. To be useful from day one, we also compiled a starting catalog of AI tools from public information (product name, official website, category, pricing model). These listings are maintained by the directory itself, are not owned by anyone, and cannot be claimed. If you are the official maker of one of these products, you can request its removal, or submit your own listing once it is delisted.

How descriptions are written

For independently compiled listings, draft descriptions are written with AI assistance, using only text from the product's official website as source material, and are reviewed by an editor before publication. Submitted listings use the maker's own text, lightly edited for format and length.

We do not publish invented facts. When the source material does not support a claim — a price, an integration, an audience — the description says so or omits it.

Pricing information

Listings only name specific prices when every amount appears on the product's official pricing page at the time of review. When we cannot verify pricing, the listing says to check the official website. We never approximate, guess, or restate outdated prices as current.

Reviews and ranking

Every listing is reviewed before publication, and listings can be revised, suspended or removed afterwards. The order of tools in categories and search results follows the site's natural ranking (recency and engagement), and paid placement never changes a natural list. Sponsored and featured placements appear in clearly labeled, separate slots.

Corrections and removal

Found something wrong? Use the report link on any listing page, or contact us. The official maker of an independently compiled listing can request its removal at any time.

Listings link to product websites. Paid listing plans may include follow links to the maker's site; this is disclosed here and on the pricing page. Placements and plans never buy a better natural ranking, a favorable review, or the removal of a competitor.
